The Faculty of Unani and Ayurvedic Medicine of Hamdard University Bangladesh organized a Boshonto Boron, Pitha Festival, Talent Hunt Grand Final and Cultural Program – 2019on 18 February 2019 at its permanent campus, Hamdard Nagar, Gazaria, Munshiganj. The Chief Guestof the program was Mohammad Zamal Uddin (Russell),a member of the Board of Trustees of the University and Deputy Manning Director & Mutawalli of Hamdard Laboratories (Waqf) Bangladesh. Besidesthe member of Board of Trustees Dr. Hakim Nargish Marjhan, the Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Md Abul Khair, the Controller of Examinations and Registrar (In-Charge) Md. Nurul Huda, Dean, Faculty of Business Administration Prof Dr Md Nasim Anzum; Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Prof Dr Mohammad Sadirul Islam; Dean (In-charge), Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology Assoc Prof Dr Mohammad Rabiul Alam; the Head of the Department of Public Health Prof Dr Mohammad Moshaddeque Hossain, all faculty members, students were present.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University Prof DrMd Abdul Mannan presided over the program.
The welcome speech was presented bythe Head of BAMS & BUMS programs Assoc Prof Dr Md Khairul Alam.
The Chief Guest Mohammad Zamal Uddin (Russell)expressed his sincere thanks to all concerned of the Faculty of Unani and Ayurvedic Medicine for arranging such kind of program. He urged to the students for ensuring good treatment for their patients after their graduation from the Faculty of Unani and Ayurvedic Medicine. He briefly described the facilities of the University and also mentioned that Hamdard University Bangladesh provides thebest facilities for its students compared to other private Universities.
The VC of the University Prof DrMd Abdul Mannan highly admired such kind of initiative of the Faculty of Unani and Ayurvedic Medicine. He also thanked all the guests for attending this program. He briefly discussed the history of Hamdard and also said that Unani and Ayurvedictreatment is a part of our culture. He advised that we have to cherish our traditional festivals in our heart. The students of the University should do philanthropic activities for the society as well as the nation like the Founder and Chief patron of the University Dr Hakim MdYousuf Harun Bhuiyan, hoped Prof Mannan.
