Hamdard University Bangladesh celebrated its 5th Foundation Day on 16 March 2017 on its campus at Hamdard City of Science, Education and Culture, Gazaria, Munshiganj. Hamdard University Bangladesh was established on 14 March 2012. The Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the University Kazi Golam Rahman was the Chief guest while the Founder of the University Dr. Hakim Mohammad Yousuf Harun Bhuiyan was present as special guest at the occasion. The Vice Chancellor Professor Md. Abdul Mannan PhD presided the program. Among other dignitaries, members of the Board of Trustees Prof Hakim shiry Farhad, Lt. Colonel Mahbubul Alam Chowdhury, Mohammad Zamal Uddin (Russell), member of the syndicate of the University Prof Dr Emran Kabir Chowdhury, Registrar of the University Md. Lutfur Rahman, Controller of Examinations Md. Nurul Huda, all Deans of the Faculties along with their faculty members and students of the University were present at the program. The program started with the recitation of the Holy Quran, the Holy Bhagabat Geeta and national anthem respectively.
The Founder of the University Dr. Hakim Mohammad Yousuf Harun Bhuiyan thanked all for attending the program. He briefly discussed the upliftment and the facilities of the University and stated that very soon the University authority will establish another hostel for the male students. In addition, he said that some new departments will be opened soon. At the end of his speech, he stated that we have to work together as a team so that we can achieve our desired goals and can fulfill our dream.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the University Kazi Golam Rahman gave his cordial thanks to all for attending the program. He shared his experience of visiting different universities in different countries and their facilities for the students. He hoped that one day Hamdard University Bangladesh will be a Heidelberg University.
The VC of the University admired the founder of the University for his continuous Support for the upliftment of the University. He remarked that it is a great achievement for us because Hamdard University Bangladesh shifted to the permanent campus within three years of its inception. For that reason he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all concerned of the University. The students of the University will be renowned researchers, scientists, scholars, engineers and professors, hoped Prof Mannan.
The program ended with a colorful cultural program organized by the students of the University.
