Workshop on Microcontroller and its Application to Robotics 2018

A day long Workshop on Micro-controller and its Application to Robotics was held in the Multipurpose Hall Room of Hamdard University Bangladesh on January 11, 2018. The workshop was conducted by members of the IUT Mars Rover team. The program was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of Hamdard University Bangladesh Prof. Dr. Abdul Mannan. Among other distinguished guests Prof. Ghulam Mortuza, Treasurer of the University, Prof. Dr. Ismail Jabiullah, Dean, Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology, Md. Lutfur Rahman, Registrar of the University, Md. Nurul Huda, Controller of Examinations and Dr. Rabiul Alam, Head, Dept. of EEE of Hamdard University Bangladesh were present.

The workshop was organized by the HEEE Association, a students’ organization of the Dept. of EEE of Hamdard University Bangladesh. The entire workshop was arranged in four sessions: Mars Rover, Autonomous Bot, Manual Bot and Quadcopter. From each of these sessions, students learnt logical design of robotic devices, writing algorithm and coding for controlling the devices, loading program to microcontroller and gained hands-on experiences of implementing the projects. The HEEE Association promised to organize such kind of workshop on a regular basis due to huge appreciation from the students’ side.
